The ICC World Twenty20 2010 takes place in the West Indies on the Islands of Guyana, St Lucia and Barbados in April-May 2010. It's the third World Twenty20 cricket series to take place and will be contested by 12 teams. The teams have been seeded and divided into four groups and include the qualifiers Afghanistan and Ireland who came through the qualifying tournament in early February.
Group A - Pakistan (A1), Bangladesh (A2) and Australia Group B - Sri Lanka (B1), New Zealand (B2) and Zimbabwe Group C - South Africa (C1), India (C2) and Afghanistan Group D - West Indies (D1), England (D2) and Ireland
The ICC World Twenty20 tournament gets underway on April 30th 2010 when New Zealand play Sri Lanka in the opening fixture in Guyana and runs through to the Final in Barbados' Kensington Oval on May 16th 2010.
